Prof N K Lohiya
It gives us immense pleasure to invite you to the “International Conference on Reproductive Health with Emphasis on Strategies for Family Planning” and the 22nd Annual Meeting of the Indian Society for the Study of Reproduction and Fertility (ISSRF) 19th – 21st February, 2012. It is our fond hope that a large number of delegates from all over the country as well as from abroad will enrich the scientific agenda with their participation.
The mandate of reproductive health is to advocate the need to improve the quality of life and to accelerate development of methods that will permit societies to achieve their population goals and to improve the quality of reproductive health services. The field of reproductive health is taking rapid strides and there is tremendous advancement in this area. There are many methods of fertility regulation but still the needs of various population groups remain unmet. The present international conference would review the advances and identify challenges to be met in reproductive health research and expending contraceptive choices. The conference will bring together basic scientists, clinicians, social scientists and demographers from academic Institutions, Universities, Medical colleges etc. and provide a platform to discuss and exchange valuable views in all spheres related to reproductive health. The topics to be discussed in the conference are, therefore, broad and relevant to different approaches to reproductive health.
The scientific programme will consist of orations, keynote addresses, plenary lectures, invited lectures, free communications and poster presentation.
The conference will provide excellent opportunity to Ph.D / MD students to interact with the senior scientists/ faculty members besides presenting their findings and to discuss the relevance of these findings.
In addition to the scientific activity the conference will also provide an opportunity to visit and look at the ancient cultural heritage of the city and enjoy the art, dances and cultural events during the conference. We hope the above activities would sweeten the scientific flavour of the conference and therefore participation in the above grand event would provide a memorable journey scientifically as well as culturally.
Your presence and active participation is key to the grand success of the conference. We look forward for your whole hearted co-operation and participation in the conference. Please inform your friends, faculty, postgraduate students and other colleagues about the conference.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we extend a warm and cordial invitation to you to participate in the conference and 22nd annual meeting of the ISSRF.
