  • Two years training fellowship at the Centre for Reproductive Biology of the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, U.K., under the financial support of the Rockefeller Foundation from Oct 1994 – Sept 1996.
  • NIH Postdoctoral fellowship under the supervision of Professor David Kupfer, Dept of Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at the UMASS Medical School at Worcester, MA from May, 2003 to May 2004.
  • Six week training fellowship for the special topics course in “Frontiers in Reproduction” at Marine Biological Laboratories, Woods Hole, MA, from 5 th May 17 th June, 2007 .

Projects undertaken / Initiated as Principal Investigator

  • Investigation of functional sperm proteins relevant to motility using the proteomics and in silico approach.(Dept of Biotechnology / ICMR)
  • Role of Histone DeAcetylase (HDAC6) and Cdyl gene in sperm motility. (Funded by Dept. of Science and Technology / ICMR)
  • Characterization of the tubulin interactome involved in the orchestration of sperm flagellar motility .(Dept of Biotechnology / ICMR)
