    Research Experience:
    research program investigates new diagnostic tools, pathogenesis and innate immunity in severe malaria and epidemiology of drug resistance for P falciparum. The other additional areas include epidemiology and control of reproductive tract infections, molecular epidemiology of G6PD deficiency, intestinal parasitism and nutrition, molecular epidemiology and control of lymphatic filariasis

    1.Attended the X International Symposium on Vectors and Vector Borne Diseases held at Goa from 4th -6th November 2009 and presented the paper entitled High prevalence and gender bias in distribution of Plasmodium malariae in central east-coast India
    2. Attended the National Symposium on Climate change and vector borne diseases held at The Asiatic Society, Calcutta on 6th February, 2010 and delivered a guest lecture on Epidemiology of malaria and its regional variations in Orissa
    3.Attended the National Conference on Environment Degradation and its impact on Mankind organized by Punjabi University, Patiala from 19th -20th November 2010.Presented the paper entitled Epidemiology of malaria in Orissa and possible impact of climate change on it
    4.Attended and Delivered a lecture entitled Severe malaria: more questions than answers to the process on 23rd November 2010, at Global Exchange Lecture Course, jointly organized by NIMR, Delhi & EMBO, Germany held from 21 November to 04 December 2010.
    5. Attended and delivered a guest lecture on Drug resistance malaria: A challenge to researchers and policy makers in a national seminar jointly organized by National Academy of Medical Sciences (Orissa Chapter) and Institute of Medical Sciences & Sum Hospital, Bhubaneswar on 14th October 2011
    6. Attended the National Symposium on Vector and Vector Borne Diseases held at RMRCT, Jabalpur and organized jointly by RMRCT, Jabalpur and National Academy of Vector Borne Diseases form 15th to 17th October 2011 and presented the paper on Malaria in Orissa: Present and Future
    7.Attended the UGC sponsored National Seminar on Living Systems in Post Genomic Era organized by the Department of Biosciences and Biotechnology, Fakir Mohan University during 20th and 21st December 2011 and delivered a guest lecture on Genetics of Cerebral Malaria on 21st December 2011.
    8.Attended and delivered a guest lecture on Malaria: Parasites and Pathology in a UGC sponsored national workshop organized for college Teachers by Trident School of Biotech Sciences, Bhubaneswar on 28th February 2012
